Our New Picture of the YEAR!

So last year our pic of the year was of Trav and Uncle Tommy.
But even Trav will have a hard time beating this pic.
Thank you, Thank you Brittany- you are the photographer of the year!
I love you- you are the best Britt!

Audrey jumping the waves.
Oh to be a child......
This child is full of the best things in life. She is the best thing that ever happened to me.
She changed me in so many ways. She is always perfect, she is the best sissy, she loves everyone and will not stop until people understand her brother. She loves him despite his crazy ways.
How could you ask for anything else but Audrey??
Those that don't know her- are missing out more than they will ever know.

My show off!

For those of you that know Brittany- you know how IN LOVE Travis is with her (and how easy it is to do).
Well, EVERY TIME Britt comes over- Trav does something to show off for her. Sometimes it is a little over the top- but last night was a classic.
My parents have 2 scooters that the kids play on, and somehow they've ended up at our house.
Probably safer since Travis goes as fast as he can right off the living room steps- yes on purpose- and Mom's house is ALL tile.
The pink one is the faster one, so the kids fight over it. Well Travis got it first, and showed Brittany what he is made of.
Travis running up to Britt saying Cheese!

This is the best one- the others all you could see was a blur.

You weren't fast enough Britt!

He was testing me-looking right at me- I kept telling him to slow down. Look at that devilish eye!

He will go so fast, turn and flip over on purpose. That gene came from his Daddy!

You cannot tell me that this is not the MOST HANDSOME BOY ON EARTH! I fight the women off already. Not to mention he is a total flirt, that does not help. He is too perfect.

Derik and I spend many nights cracking up at the kids. Travis is really fast on the scooters. And he will go as fast as he can strait for the wall- he somehow has great breaks and slides into the wall barely touching it. I have to get it on video and get it on here.

It is great.

Last weekend we had kiddy bumper cars (Wendee will kill me for this one, but no one got hurt!)

Aud would sit on one, and Haley on the other. Hunter would push Aud and Trav would push Haley. They would go round and round as fast as they could. I think we had a few really bad collisions. You will have to harass Charles for the pics- they are on his camera!

Have a Great Labor Day!

Friends- or more????

Just Joking!

I was talking about Aud and Hunter in this pic. Pics are from Christmas 2006. We went to the park to play with Huntman's really cool airplane and helicopter.

Travis had a lot of fun trying to keep up with the big kids.

Audrey has her official first love. She is so crazy about Hunter- but he is the same with her. He begs his dad to come see her. I don't think Derik is really happy about the situation.

Hunter's dad is Aud's Uncle Charlie- the guy up above with D- aka Charlie Brown!

Fun at the Beach!

Last Friday Derik and Travis BEGGED until I gave in to go to the beach.
Travis first time at the beach was when we went to meet Mrs. Robyn (allergykids.com) and her cute family. Derik was in Brazil- so I had no camera.
So we called up Dendee and her gang, along with Britt and headed to the Beach.
We learned that Emma and Trav ARE NOT SCARED OF ANYTHING! They love the waves.
Emma would lay back and let the waves wash over her, she thought it was so funny.
Not sure how she survived all the salt water up her nose!
My Travis is a complete beach bum! He loves it- the water, the waves, the sand, the wind..... the girls. He had so much fun- and it is virtually allergy free!!!!!!
He wanted us to go deeper and deeper. Not to mention he kept yelling "here shark, here shark!"
He kept asking me to pretend I was a shark. Total Boy!

Emma and her friend "the waves"

Our Haley- the big Kindergartener!

He was telling Daddy to look over there for the shark.

Our beautiful sunset with power lines!

Audrey was freezing, but did not want to get out!

Travis and his Brint (really Brittany)

Trav had just been washed down by a wave- you can see he loved it!

Notice he was not very happy about having to come in!

Trav and his Brint again.

Me and my little angel.

The gang- minus Memma

Daddy after his surf.

Aud and Brit

Audrey laid down and made Brit take a pic of her.

Travis and his daddy. Of course I am the "freak out about everything mom!" Wonder who I got that from (hint my own mom)? I look calm, but I am really dying inside- my baby in the ocean and no life jacket!

Somehow I made it through the day. We had fun, minus my flip outs here an there. But I had Wendee and Britt, so Derik didn't get on to me too bad.

Thank you Brit and Wendee for all the pics- Love yall!

Allergy Kids

http://healthychild.org/blog/comments/our_intimate_relationship_with_food_a_complex_truth/

I know day after day I talk about allergies. Please go to this link and read what my dear friend Robyn has written.
We call it our 4A's.
Robyn, like myself, will not rest until our children are safe.
If you ever have a question about your child's health, contact Robyn.
I have had the previledge of working closing with Robyn over the past year. Within the next few months, I will announce my latest adventure with Allergy Kids.
One by one we are saving our children.
Not just Allergy Kids are on our agenda.
Our 4A's:
Allergies
Asthma
Autism
ADHD
Autism, Asthma and ADHD are all linked to food.
I have a cousin that suffers from Autism. It breaks my heart that I found out about all of this too late.
Our son suffers from all but Autism. Travis, like so many children, cannot have vaccinations.
Help make a differnce for all the A's.
Join us at the Allergy Kids Foundation. Support our future- The Children of this great nation.
If you would like to walk for Food Allergies and Autism- please email me.
Food Allergy Walk- September 8th in Houston
Autism Walk is in October.
"One man's food is another man's poison" Lucretius
I add to that:
"One mother's food is another mother's worst nightmare."

Should have known

I look at this picture and I see the beginning of Trav's long fight with allergies. The doctors just shrugged it off. I remember the day after he was born his skin was so inflamed they could not bathe him or use wipes on him. At 2 days old he had to go on a steriod cream. And the doctors saw nothing wrong with all of this? What is wrong with this world. At 2 weeks old (one week after this picture), Trav could not breathe. I asked the doc if he was asthmatic- he said impossible. Now his doc says, Travis is not a text book child, I no longer go by what I was taught with him.
So why don't doctors see a problem with this from birth???? Because they think that children CANNOT be allergic to ANYTHING until they are 2.
Hate to burst their bubbles, but I see babies every day, that I know have allergies. Derik and I saw one last night. When her daddy walked off with her, we both looked at each other and said "That poor baby has a food allergy."
You can't look at this picture and tell me that their is nothing wrong with this. You can only see his arm and face, but his entire body looked like this.
Travis is a lucky one.
Pray for the children on feeding tubes and can't leave their house.

Vegas 2006

These are from our vegas trip last year.
Steph's beautiful cake.

How cute are they!

Morning after a long night- was this the "who's watching your kids" aftermath Steph?

Ok, Sonny I know you took this pic.

I am beginning to see a trend- I believe this scene had a conversation about starting their own church.
Not sure how much they had drank to come up with idea. I think the Kevin Fowler song- Lord Loves the Drinkin Man- had been on.

Johnelle about to do her belly flop onto the float. I think everyone would agree- the floats from this year were a lot better- thanks Vicki!

So this year we actually had a salt water pool. Last year eveyone kept trying to get me to lick the pool thing that was floating around- they kept swearing to me it was a salt water pool. I insisted it wasn't, that it was clorine. And yeah it was chlorine. I might be the youngest, but I'm not the dumbest.

Were off to find Johnelle a man- in the Limo.

The Bride and Groom.

More of Vegas 2007

Here are more pics of our Vegas trip.

One of our nights out to eat. Derik and Johnelle met some very interesting people at the black jack table.
Steph, Vicki, Tiffany and I rode the roller coaster- twice. How on earth Vicki talked Steph into it, but they rode in the front car the 2nd time, I'll never know.

Me, Vicki and Johnelle

Me and Steph and Green Valley- we had had a lot of fun by this time.

Our night at Nas Car

Before we ate and rode roller coasters.

We had a great time. Thank you so much Sonny and Steph!

Love yall so much!

Matching cuties

Granny bought Audrey an adorable dress, and it turned out Audrey's best friend and her sister had similar dress. So we dressed them a like for church.
For those of you that don't know the 2 cuties in the pic- the one on the left is Trav's Memma (Really Emma- he is so in love with her, it is the most precious thing).
The one on the right is Haley- Aud's best friend. Haley and Emma are sisters.
Both girls are Dendee's (Trav's Wendee- next to his Mommy and Mam Maw- she's the love of his life).
Mrs. Wendee made all the 3 bows to match their outfits.

Vegas 2007

We went to the shark exhibit at...trying to think.... Mandalay Bay!
We went for Trav. We got him gifts from there. This is a zebra shark (yeah they have stripes with they are born- I know doesn't seem like one now).
They had a ton of sword fish. It was so awesome. Neither of had seen one.

Derik and I taking pics of each other. We all partied so hard during the day, we were pretty tired by nightfall.

We went to an excellent Sushi restaurant.

The Venetian- which I fell in love with! It was so beautiful. I think we spent most of our day there. All though the gambling stunk- the scenery was magnificent! I could live there.

Johnell drinking the wine we got. I had a little too much to drink at the pool that day- wasn't happening.

Ready to go out to celebrate Sonny and Steph's anniversary
The greatest friends you can have!

Sonny giving his toast- that he made everyone cry over!

Steph, Sonny and Vicki.

Vicki had the best idea of getting Steph and Sonny a day at the spa. Since they did rent the house and treated us to the BEST time!
