Christmas Eve 2006
Trav especailly loved the attention he got from Lauren.
Christmas 2006
We put all the gifts in the sandbox, put the lid on.
They woke up and thought that was all they had.
Audrey did have a little crying spell. She said, "I thought I was going to wake up with a pony in my back yard."
And she was really devastated!

They finally got it, and openned up the sandbox.

Christmas Lunch at my parent's house.

So we tried to do hand prints. With Travis it was impossible. They came out big smudges.
We made stepping stones for MamMaw, Grandma Lindberg, Grandma Nixon, Mrs. Carol, and Granny. Well I should say- Derik and I made them. After Trav left his mark, we put the kids to bed and started over.

Ok, I wish I could upload video. I will have to work on that. He was so excited thinking there was something under all the clothes, he was throwing them all out.
The kids helping my dad open his present.

I wish you could see her face. It is a baby doll (big deal) on her own horse (even bigger deal)!

Christmas Night and Granny and PawPaw's
She was having such a fun day.

Although we had a fantastic day, this day will always be remember to us as Hailey's day.
This was the night I received a phone call from Hailey's aunt about the accident.
Please, please remember Hailey in your prayers. She has come so far it is unbelievable!

HOUSE BIll 2827
Last Tuesday we received Travis' new test results.
Of course it still showed the Peanut, Milk and Egg allergy.
He has grown out of his corn, tomato and pea allergy (but he still cannot eat). YEAH!!!
Another praise- all of the nuts- pecan, walnut, almond (Mommy and Daddy's favorite), coconut, and one other- HE IS NOT ALLERGIC TO!!!
We found out 2 horrible things, one that I was totally prepared for. I had been telling Derik for months I knew he was allergic to Wheat.
The thing that totally stop me in my TRACK- that he is more allergic to a HORSE than to a PEANUT.
Now, the blood test could be a little off because of his exposure to horses, but he is allergic for sure.
He has not been exposed to a peanut since September of 2006. Little disturbing that it was so high, considering his exposure time was so long ago.
Of course we had a hunch about the horse, but had hoped it was the pecan pollen at his grandparents'.
It totally devastated me. He talks about his horse in his sleep. But I know he will grow out of it, he is just the perfect cowboy.
So we went out of town, and had a wonderful Father's Day weekend together.
But the best thing that could have happened did!
On Friday House Bill 2827 became a law!
Big thanks to GOD,
Cari Christman and Carrie Simmons in Rep Taylor's office, and Beth Black in Sen Jackson's office.
And of course to our wonderful Representative Taylor and Senator Mike Jackson.
Thank you to my parents for telling me to call both legislatures. A very special thank you to Janis Roderman, my wonderful husband, my mom, my dad and sister, and all the friends and family that supported me through the process. I would like to thank my uncle, Dan, for staying on top of the process and his efforts. Thank you to all the allergy parents.
None of this would have happened with out that special little boy being brought into my life.
Don't be shocked when I am back in Austin!
We are already working on legislation for next session, and I want to add asthma to the mix.
We are seeing a connection with Autism and food, so maybe I will tackle that one day.
Thank you to everyone that called, prayed and supported. You don't know how many lives you have saved!
